Mission + Values + Women = A Movement

To create inspiring, empowering, and informative content for women working at all levels and in all sectors of infrastructure. This platform is driven by authenticity, creativity, and collaboration.

Why MOXY?

With the passage of the mega infrastructure bill and a renewed commitment to DE&I nationwide, now is the time to target this demographic with a first-of-its-kind magazine that understands women and the challenges they face in a historically male-dominated industry.

Additionally, a recent analysis from the Institute for Women’s Policy Research indicates that the number of women working in construction trades increased by 17.6 percent between 2017 and 2018. This growth is nearly five times faster than job growth of 3.7 percent in construction occupations overall.

As a small, women-owned business, MOXY is editorially independent of a board or association membership.

Appealing to women in infrastructure in the way that many national women’s magazines appeal to fashionistas, our content and design are free of the “suit-and-tie,” business style of most every trade or infrastructure-related publication on the market today.

Most of these publications target men first — as they do indeed comprise most of the industry (for now) — and women as a novelty. In other words, women generally only make token appearances in these publications.

From our perspective, women in infrastructure are the reason MOXY exists and our content reflects this.
